American law and American jurisprudence remain a constant source of inspiration for theorists and philosophers of law as well as researchers of political and legal thought. Although the implementation of selected American legal solutions in European countries is oftentimes difficult (and in some cases even impossible), there is no doubt that American jurisprudence is dedicated to the aim common to the entire Euro-Atlantic legal tradition, namely the protection of individual rights and freedoms, human dignity of all persons, the rule of law and the division of political power.
