Although the two stories are linked thematically, they can stand on their own; students' success with one does not depend on their having read the other. The stories are accompanied by carefully paced pre- and post-reading exercises that develop and build students' language skills.

Le manuel comprend 8 sujets théoriques et 16 sujets pratiques destinés aux 52 heures de cours du 1er semestre et aux 20 heures du 2-semestre de la 1ère année du module Traduction écrite de la spécialité 60230200 - Théorie et pratique de la traduction. Chaque sujet de pratique comprend 2 heures de traduction de textes littéraires et techniques, de processus d'analyse et de rédaction et 1 heure d'explications théoriques. Le manuel comprend également du matériel de formation prévu pour 108 heures d'auto-apprentissage de ce module.
