A glossary, tests and brief overview of the biographies of scientists who have made a significant contribution to the formation of comparative typology as a separate subject of linguistics are attached. The manual reflects the results of research carried out by Uzbek and foreign linguists of the last decade, and it is intended for students of foreign languages’ faculties. This coursebook was prepared in cooperation with the Department of English linguistics of Bukhara state university and the Department of English language theory and methods of teaching of Tashkent state pedagogical university named after Nizami.
