Османская империя и страны Центральной, Восточной и Юго-Восточной Европы в XVII в.

Книга представляет собой вторую часть подготовленного коллективом авторов труда, посвященного исследованию политических взаимоотношений Османской империи и стран Центральной, Восточной и Юго-Восточной Европы в XVII в. В исторических условиях второй половины столетия рассматриваются отношения с Портой и ее вассалом, Крымским ханством, восточноевропейских государств - Речи Посполитой и России. Большое внимание уделяется борьбе австрийских Габсбургов с османами, истории создания антиосманской коалиции европейских государств, выявлению факторов, способствовавших поражению Османской империи в конце XVII в. На фоне международных событий изучаемого периода показаны судьбы стран и народов, оказавшихся вовлеченными в войну Священной лиги с Османской империей.

Теория тепломассообмена

Эффективность и надежность работы перспективных тепловых двигателей (ракетных, атомных, плазменных, МГД-генераторов и т. п.) существенным, а иногда решающим образом зависит оттого, насколько правильно организована система охлаждения проточной части двигателя, что в конечном итоге определяется надежностью инженерных методов расчета теплообмена. Решение многих задач космической техники (проблема тепловой защиты, система жизнеобеспечения), авиационной техники (проблема теплового барьера при гиперзвуковых скоростях полета), большой энергетики (создание тепловых электростанций на сверх критические параметры) неразрывно связано с успехами теории тепло обмена.

A Programmer's Guide to Computer Science

While many people will find the topics covered here interesting in their own right, I've attempted to also show where this knowledge is useful in real-world (non-academic) situations. The goal is that when you've finished this book, you will know the basics of what you would have learned from an undergraduate computer science degree and how to apply it. Simply put, this book aims to make you a better, more knowledgeable programmer through a greater understanding of computer science. I can't consolidate two decades of college and professional experience into one book... but I can try to hit the good parts. My hope is that you will find at least one concept where you can say "yeah, that makes sense now" and apply it to your everyday work

A Complete Solution Guide to Principles of Mathematical Analysis

Dr. Kit-Wing Yu received his B.Sc. (1st Hons), M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Math. at the HKUST, PGDE (Mathematics) at the CUHK. After his graduation, he has joined United Christian College to serve as a mathematics teacher for at least seventeen years. He has also taken the responsibility of the mathematics panel since 2002. Furthermore, he was appointed as a part-time tutor (2002 – 2005) and then a part-time course coordinator (2006 – 2010) of the Department of Mathematics at the OUHK. Besides teaching, Dr. Yu has been appointed to be a marker of the HKAL Pure Mathematics and HKDSE Mathematics (Core Part) for over thirteen years. Between 2012 and 2014, Dr. Yu was invited to be a Judge Member by the World Olympic Mathematics Competition (China). In the research aspect, he has published over twelve research papers in international mathematical journals, including some wellknown journals such as J. Reine Angew. Math., Proc. Roy. Soc. Edinburgh Sect. A and Kodai Math. J.. His research interests are inequalities, special functions and Nevanlinna’s value distribution theory.
