The national human rights centre of the republic of Uzbekistan: 2005-2011

From the very beginning of state independence our country defined the problem of protection and promotion of human rights and creation of al' necessary conditions for their realizaiton as the priority purpose. A. significant role in realization of gradual and systemic policy of Uzbekistan on protection of civil and political rights in Uzbekistan belongs to the National Human Rights Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this brochure the legal basis, structure, basic directions of the activity of the National Human Rights Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan are considered. The present brochure is intended both for specialists on human rights and for all those who are interested in issues of human rights.

Analysis of the main principles and directions of state policy in the field of human rights and freedoms, formation and development of the legislative and institutional basis providing human rights and freedoms in Uzbekistan allow the reader to see in reality the highest level impact of provisions of Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international documents on creation of the effective national system of human rights and freedoms protection in Uzbekistan.

Candidature of the republic of Uzbekistan to the human rights council 2021-2023

However, so far, Uzbekistan has not been a member of the Human Rights Council. Being deeply committed to the promotion of human rights and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Uzbekistan hopes for further support and trust from the international community in its efforts to promote human rights both at the regional and international levels, including in the context of the Human Rights Council.

Child rights monitoring

Guidance Manual for Monitoring of Child Rights discloses theoretical and practical aspects of implementing monitoring surveys on the issues concerning the compliance with the in- ternational legal and national standards to realize the child rights. The Manual is intended to inform and deepen the knowledge on the essence, types and the main stages of child rights monitoring, its organization, methods of collecting, analysis and summarization of informa- tion, and the application of monitoring results to improve the status of children in the field of education, health care and social security.
