Enhancing Cooperation Through State-Federal Judical Councils
Jason A. Cantone,As far as the public is concerned, courts are courts. Judges may be conscious of distinctions between state and federal courts, but those distinctions don’t matter very much to most citizens. Because courts depend on public respect for both acceptance of their decisions and the resources to operate, it serves the best interests of all judges to improve the performance and the reputation of all courts. The common interests far exceed the differences.
